Okay got the first one and cleaned and spanked the stain on the mirror. It worked great. About 5 minutes later there was a bang from the bathroom; he fell and broke. The company was great at sending a replacement that worked fine. Out of curiosity, I cleaned the suction cup and reattached the broken mirror - a few weeks later it's still in place and the replacement has never fallen off. What have I learned? 1. Check the suction cup carefully - I suspect there was packing material on it. The plastic bag that the broken mirror came in contained small pieces of foam (the replacement was clean). 2. Be careful where you hang it. Suppose it falls and set it up so it doesn't have to fall far (I'd be fine with it just falling onto the countertop; instead, it rolled and fell to the floor). I installed the new one upright on a glass shelf so it couldn't fall down at all. 3. Stand on glass only. I stood the replacement up on a Formica countertop and after a few hours it came loose. If you are careful this is a great product - lots of magnification and good light. Where I have it it lights up my face when I shave which helps. The company has done a great job of supporting the product. I will probably buy another one.
