Immediate return. New Balance really went under. You used to be able to get reasonably priced shoes from them that weren't trendy but served their purpose and felt good. It looks like a dollar store product. I've heard horror stories about subtle languages and now I've finally come across this. What idiot thought that was a good idea? Everything feels cheap and light like I'm holding styrofoam. Where is our economy headed? Pay $125 or get shoes that are pure junk? And of course the fit is also crap. I've been buying 12 NB x width for years and they fit great. One of the few that did. No longer. This "wide x" is still too narrow. I've been looking around for a while as the 623 I bought hasn't been available in suede for over a year. I guess I'll just have to give up and buy plain white shoes because they seem to be the only shoes my size that aren't trash.
