Just bought a SECOND Renogy MPPT Charger (40 amp). My first system was a very large two panel setup on a dual axis solar tracker. I used AGM solar panels, a Renogy pure sine wave inverter and an automatic switch. He fed my whole house. I have moved (system #1 given to my daughter) and am building a second system based on Renogy products. Eight (8) 100W/12V/5.38A panels (two sets of four wired in series) to the MPPT Renogy 40A charger - five (5) sealed 100Ah leads -Acid batteries (500 Ah potential). Renogy 3000W pure sign wave inverter with 40A fuses before and after MPPT box. I really like all of the visual information the MPPT screen offers - much better than the one I bought for System #1. This new 40A MPPT charger explains simply how to choose your battery type and permanently install it. Connect wired inputs - they're strong enough to work with the #8 (8AWG) wiring I'm using - you don't have to twist them so hard that they break, and I have a feeling some users do and do . I mount my MPPT device vertically and use an old computer fan (located under the rear fins) to cool the device. This 40A MPPT charger is a GOOD device when connected properly - neither of the two I've had have ever given me any problems. FYI John
