Cannot be placed on carpet or wood surface

I love the look. Just got it and started working. I like that the top distributes steam in three directions. If I weren't going to put it on carpet or wood now, I'd look for an alternative. I'll do my best, but I thought it was important to know. The current one is on my half of the wall. I put the second one on a disposable pan since our bedroom has carpet and the bedside table is wood. Waiting for moisture for the winter.
