If you know your absolute underwear size, it's designed to be standard maybe slightly smaller and while they are stretchy they are not as stretchy as some other brands. What can I say, they are great! After reading other reviews I ordered the Big first. The belt fits but there is a small gap at the back so they are too big. I went medium on the next round and I'm very happy with this fit, but I stretch my waist a lot with my arms when I first put them on. Just ordered more media. So, for the measurements: I'm 5'6.5" tall and weigh between 140 and 145 pounds. True waist 30.5 inches, fullest part of lower waist 35 inches, full hips/seat 38.5 inches. Me got them because they are low cut and high on the thigh.I normally wear a size 6 jeans and most of my clothes shorts but for lingerie I wear a size 6 which is medium for lingerie.The little one in lingerie is a (5). usually too small for me and the large (7) usually too big. So they fit a bit but actually fit underwear sizes. The tags tear easily which is great if you only bought one size! I can do something with the larges, to tell them apart but they do their job and I will be leaving them. All in all this is a great purchase! The strap used for the waist is very close to the width of a standard bra strap so they fit ( black) goes well with all my standard black tanks oops After you've pulled out the tag, a quick visual guide to making sure they're not inside out is to leave the part where the belt is sewn to itself on the left side.
