Not practical!
I don't think this product works well. I saw it being used on Youtube and thought it looked simple and very cool. But once I've used it on 2 necklaces, BOTH opened up when worn. You need to make a round bead out of the pinch, and after a while, further pressing it with this tool, it will come out somehow. However, this violates the tightness of the crimp. I returned this product and went back to my regular crimping tool and added a round crimp cap. It's an extra step and detail, but the old way works BETTER.
