Review on Renewed Apple iPhone XS US Version in Gold, 64GB with AT&T by Riko Doi ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Average purchase, there is something to complain about.

Before buying XS, I used 5S, SE, 8 Plus. For me, as for a mobile amateur photographer, the main choice of smart was the ease of use and photo quality. The XS has a good camera, but not great! And now about the shortcomings for me personally: 1. I did not find anything convenient in Face ID! Instead of pressing the button to unlock, you have to constantly poke your face into the phone. And hold the phone only vertically (there is no horizontal unlocking!), at a certain angle and no further than 40 cm from the face. 2. The weight is too heavy for one-hand operation. 3. Bangs are generally a complete finish. This notch wastes screen real estate, resulting in an 8+ screen larger than the XS claims. Six months later, I never got used to it. It just got more annoying. 4. In continuation of the inferiority of the bangs, it turned out that most applications do not work correctly in landscape mode on such a screen, do not adapt in horizontal mode, but are stupidly stretched. 5. Poor indoor signal is a disease of all iPhones, not just XS. In an apartment on the fifth floor, in an area studded with communication antennas, on a scale of 1-2 divisions. But this is the drain on the battery of the phone! In general, show-off, show-off, but ease of use is also important! I sold this smart after six months of torment (losing 15 thousand), I bought an iPhone 7, a camera and a good lens (photo heaven and earth compared to phones).

Pros
  • The merits are mentioned in every video on YouTube and reviews. I don't see the point in listing.
Cons
  • 1. Face ID 2. Weight 3. Bangs 4. Poor adaptation of software to such a screen diagonal 5. Poor indoor signal.

I bought it in March 2022, but they brought an old device, released in May 2022. In half a year, the battery very quickly “flew” to 89%
