From the start the scent smells like freshly baked sugar cookies or vanilla cake. Being right under the nose, it's quite strong initially, but settles out fairly quickly and doesn't dissolve very far. The oil is a bit thin compared to other oils I've used, but it applies as expected and has some staying power that is comparable to other oils on the market. About an hour after application, the vanilla becomes completely soft and doesn't feel like anything anymore. be too strong If you love scented beard oils, you'll probably love this one. It's a vanilla scent, not vanilla leather or anything like that. While I'm not a big fan of sweet scents, it's not that bad. This is ideal for cooler seasons.
