Works great once you get the hang of it

This is a really good product that does pretty much what it says it does. Now I can get bluetooth in almost every part of my house and even in my garden. The sound quality is the same as any other Bluetooth source (computers, phones, etc.) that I have connected various headphones and speakers to. Setup is easy and controls are intuitive, at least after reading the manual (always read the manual). I haven't used Oasis as a receiver, so I can't comment on that. A few things to know: This device is *very* aggressive when it comes to reconnecting to the last connected device. When put into Bluetooth mode, it will automatically try to connect and if a device is found, it will reconnect. If, like me, you have multiple Bluetooth devices at home, it can be quite difficult to find out what it is connected to. A few nights ago, I spent some time wandering around the house with my laptop trying to figure out what it was talking to, and finally realized it was connected to a pair of cheap Bluetooth headphones that I tossed in my nightstand drawer and forgot had turn off. . It was on a different floor of my house and as far away from the device as possible, but still inside. It finds your headphones even if you don't. Here's how I found out that my Samsung TV a) has Bluetooth, b) won't turn off, and c) appears to be in always-pairing mode. So I have to turn off the TV every time I put the Oasis into pairing mode or the TV will immediately grab one of the channels and then I'll stick with it until I clear the pairing history (since it keeps reconnecting) . . The device allows you to connect multiple devices, but I've found that not all devices work well together. Plugging in the above TV causes stuttering on other connected devices, so I generally try to avoid plugging in more than one device at a time. I don't know if this is an Oasis defect or just how Bluetooth devices work, but that's my experience. As a result of this behavior, I rely heavily on turning off all my Bluetooth devices immediately when I'm not using them. Pairing history can only be cleared if the Oasis isn't currently connected to anything, and given the speed at which it reconnects, clearing pairing history could involve a quick power on/press dance of the magic key sequence, clearing the history like this as best you can so you can catch them. Sometimes it takes a few tries. The bypass mode works well and I didn't notice any sound degradation when cycling through the Oasis. The device has an optical input/optical output and an additional input/output for bypass. Please note that optical aux in/out or vice versa is *not* supported. So if you're planning on having an optical input and plugging headphones into the aux output, it won't work. auto reconnect feature, or that it tells me the name of the device it is connecting to, or that it has an option to disconnect. Any of these things make it easier for me to use. Otherwise I am very satisfied and can only recommend it.
