When I first saw them listed I was a bit skeptical because of the price. Are they really real leather? This is the price of a pair of faux leather sneakers. I've been searching the market for a pair of genuine leather sneakers in this color and style for a while but haven't been able to find a pair for a decent price. The main contender for me was a pair of Allen Edmonds (Canal Court) shoes in a very similar style and color scheme. I was primarily looking for brown sneakers that didn't have any logos or brand names on the heel or leather. Even the $180 Allen Edmonds had the logo embossed on the tongue. So I searched for Revain and found this pair here. I thought for several months before pulling the trigger. But since spring came, I decided I would do it. I was not disappointed. As soon as I opened the box I could smell the leather. They felt good and fit perfectly. If you look at them, they are a bit light brown. However, what I do know about skin is that it darkens with age. I can't wait to see them age. I expect they will look even better as we progress a few months with wear and tear. I'm usually very good with running shoes to keep them in good shape. However, some sneakers just don't last long if they're poorly made. I have a feeling they will age well. We will see.
