I would say this is not for 1 to 6 year olds as the head is too big to fit in the mouth.

This is a giant toothbrush for a child/toddler's mouth. He doesn't really brush his teeth, is too soft and thin, and prefers to just chew on the tips. It shuts him up if we put more than half of it in his mouth. My 6 year old also has trouble fitting in his mouth.
