The leather is soft and good quality, can be completely ruined if dropped, but let's hope we stay away from them. They are very well done. I would say go a size or two up although the waist and waist are true to size but the hips are not. It's very small and tight and kills the circulation after a while that's my only complaint but it cost me because I had to return the original size and order 2 sizes up to fit the hips but everything else was great, took it to a tailor ($40 more) to trim the waistband and crop the base (which people usually do with chaps so there are no buttons or anything at the base of the legs, just leather, it can be trimmed. If that everything is ready, they look freaking amazing! ;)
