Review on 🌬️ Efficient ACI 177114 Windshield Washer Pump: The Perfect Solution for Clearer Vision by Jack Harrell

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Works "well " but is a cheap, crappy device.

Update 7/2015: Still works great! It was purchased and installed as a replacement for the FRONT window on a 1995 Subaru Legacy station wagon. I believe almost every Subaru ever built uses the same pump. The bottom line is that it's a cheap and crappy little pump, but it works. My front windshield washer pump hasn't worked for so long I can't remember how strong or weak the spray was, so I can't compare the OEM spray to this ACI unit. Not to mention that my car has clocked 200,000 miles. that was when I bought it - so I'm not sure I ever really experienced what the 'new' block was capable of. Either way, the design and build quality of this pump sucks. You can just touch the plastic and feel like it's the cheapest, lousiest plastic ever made. The connector on the pump ripped out of its housing and almost faced him. I've re-sealed it with epoxy and I'm sure it's 1000x better than it came out of the box. It was a plug and play device and it's not leaking (yet) and it took about a month to install. It's absolutely NOT "OEM quality" but for $10 with shipping and a 10 minute install, it's fine. A new OEM from Subaru's parts store is $52.50 + shipping.

Pros
  • Fits the original windshield washer pumps
Cons
  • Long wait
