Review on BluePeak Protein 28oz: Cutting-Edge Technology for Food Service Equipment & Supplies by Pedro Curtis

I read many reviews and found the following: Complaint: It leaks - I opened one of the 3 shakers and filled it with 8oz of soda pop and sparkling water mix. and added 1 teaspoon of CONSIL fiber. I had a very slight leak when shaking, but realized I hadn't unscrewed the cap all the way. No more leakage after fixing. Complaint: The mixing ball floats. The blend ball does float but I don't see that as a problem as it blends well and only floats IF NOT PICKED UP! Complaint: Stirrer falls out/doesn't stay in lid - I made sure of that, hence my 4 star rating. In general I am very satisfied with the product. I first mixed up my fiber drink and then made a protein drink with milk and protein powder. I had no problems or leaks. Everything was well mixed. One other note I would like to make about leaks: using HOT WATER to clean or mix will result in a leak. My brother-in-law had several brands of shakers and found that many leaked when washed with HOT WATER. I assume hot water will attack the pad so I won't put mine in the dishwasher. UPDATE: The first shaker I opened was LIME. In this review I forgot to mention that the sparkling water in the lemonade/sparkling water mix was carbonated which created pressure and most likely pushed that small amount of liquid out of the cap which I hadn't fully unscrewed. I recently opened a BLACK bottle and the MIXING GRID for it stayed in place and there was no LEAK when mixing sparkling mineral water. So I'm satisfied with 2 out of 3 bottles. The first was used frequently, at least 4-5 times a day. I will be using the BLACK bottle on all my mixes to fully test them. I'm 71 and retired so I have plenty of time to experiment/test with the bottles.
