Good Option: Computers and Accessories

This is a good option, but before you buy a dock, do your research, especially a laptop with Thunderbolt 3, like a Mac. Important things to look out for: 1. Does it provide enough power to charge the laptop? 2. Is a power supply included? Are there enough Thunderbolt 3 (40 Gbps) ports?4. Are the USB ports 5Gbps?5. Does it support dual monitors? I use it with a MacBook Pro and this dock fits the bill. It features an 85W power adapter via a Thunderbolt 3 port. That's only 2W less than a Mac uses, but it works great. The power supply is very large and takes up a lot of space on the desk or floor. It's a little uncomfortable. I recommend installing under the table with. This docking station features two Thunderbolt 3 ports with a transfer rate of 40 Gb/s, allowing you to daisy chain multiple devices (up to 5). You can also use this port to connect a second monitor with a USB-C to HDMI adapter (or another type of monitor adapter, such as a display port). These ports can also support USB 3.1 Gen 2, which offers data transfer rates of 10 Gb/s. All USB ports are 5 Gb/s, for a total of four ports. There is only one video connector - DisplayPort 1.2. If you want to use HDMI, you need an active DisplayPort to HDMI adapter. Passive adapter not working. A second monitor can be connected via a USB-C (Thunderbolt 3) adapter. There are a few other extras like gigabit ethernet, audio and an SD/MicroSD slot. The design is elegant and goes well with Mac Space Grey. Overall a good option for a MacBook Pro.
