The dealership charged $300 for a key replacement. Instead, I decided to buy this key blank, a laptop USB interface for key programming, and Ace Hardware cut the key. I ended up spending less than $75 and after a little work I got a working key. I recommend anyone buying a new key open their existing key and verify the key's model number, FCC number, and the letter on the key blank. I have a 2016 Toyota RAV4 and research online has shown that a different key is a very common replacement, but it ended up being the correct key. The Ace hardware cut the key for me with no problem and cost $2.16. I programmed the key immobilizer using Techstream software with no problems and then programmed the remote door lock keys again with no problems. The only reason this key gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because the trunk remote button doesn't work for me. I'm not sure if it's a key issue or a programming issue. I sent a request to the seller. If successful, I will update my rating. Either way, I can live with a broken trunk button and save $225.
