Review on Palmer's Lip Butter Dark Chocolate & Cherry, 0.35oz by Tina Harris

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Here is the ingredients list.

This is the best lip protector I have ever used. I recently bought several ChapSticks. and they were so dry and hard that they were useless. Then I pulled an old lip balm out of the closet. Looking at the manufacturer's name, I could see that it was around 30 years old. It was soft and easy to apply, almost like petroleum jelly (because that's what it is). This tells me that ChapStick has lowered the price of their product to the point of junk over the years. So I went in search of something better. After trying a few others, I settled on this product. Yes, the tube smells strongly of cocoa butter and cherries. The actual flavor is the same but not as strong. The tip of the applicator is well thought out. It's a large flat surface tilted at a 45 degree angle with a small hole in the middle. So you just slide the surface over the lip and pinch it. and it applies well to the entire lip almost automatically. Ingredients (on the back of the tube): Vaseline, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Oil, Tocopherol Acetate, Flavouring, Saccharin. So since the ingredients are listed by volume, this tube actually contains more petroleum jelly than cocoa butter. Within a minute or two of application, lips feel moist, but not overly moisturized or greasy. More like applying cocoa butter than petroleum jelly. Apparently they figured out the right proportions for the two ingredients. I don't think any major retail chain stocks this. You must buy it here. Next time you need a few bucks to get a free shipping number, throw one in your cart and give it a try.
