I have had several straighteners over the last few years. In my opinion this is one of the best. Pros: - Hair is still smooth and shiny after ironing, it doesn't clump or pull on your hair like some others in this price range. - The cord is quite long and you have long hair or you are a little away from the mirror, it will not cut it. The included thermal gloves are a nice addition, I'm pretty sure if you're looking for irons you've burned yourself a few times. Times so gloves will help (they are a bit big for my average hand) - A good holdall is included which can also be used for drawer storage - It is lightweight and easy to use - Heats up very quickly within about 30 minutes seconds and has an adjustable temperature. Cons - Has a slight odor (maybe plastic burn?) during the first few uses but gets better - My hair feels a little frizzy after ironing and San Diego is sometimes so wet it defeats the purpose of ironing - Just for me and my thick hair the highest temperature works and all other lower levels are almost a joke for my hair so I think the max temperature can be a bit higher, I should always use the max level
