Unfortunately it didn't work for me. I installed a small 2A 5V LED bulb near the ceiling for backlighting. I tried powering and charging this cable at the same time. When I connect the flashlight to a power source with the cable that came with it, it turns on, lights up and charges at the same time. When I put this extension cord between the flashlight and the power supply, the flashlight only charges. This cable won't pass enough current even though it's only 10 watts. If you're trying to power something like an LED or a hard drive, I'd say no.
