I read all the reviews about it before buying. My fiancé wanted me to have a real diamond but I can think of a better way to spend our money. I love the finer things in life and am a bit picky about living, but I have no interest in my fiancé going into debt over a real diamond. While I love the look of trendy "halo" rings or rings with a little more detail and sparkle, I have experience with even expensive "fake" jewelry and I know that if you put more than one stone (especially small stones) in the throwing mix), it's inevitable that at least one of them will fail quickly. So I decided to play solitaire. Of course, gold must be real and solid. After reading the reviews of this ring I was optimistic but concerned that the band is too thin as others have suggested. I don't find it too thin at all. It's perfect, brilliant and substantial enough for me. As for the stone, it is very shiny in any light. I'll admit that in some lighting it looks "white" and kinda fake. I would only rate that 5% of the time, and maybe that's because I know it's not real. Overall I'm happy and my friends and family love it and have no idea it's fake.
