Review on ๐Ÿ“ธ Ultimate Stability for Photographers: Koolehaoda's 64-inch Aluminium Camera Monopod Unipod by Azeem Mendez

Tough, versatile and lightweight

We needed 2 lightweight mono poles that would work well as a pole on both paved and unpaved surfaces. We drove to the Grand Canyon and other national parks including Zion and Bryce. I looked at numerous product alternatives and their reviews. Many other product reviews complained that the camera stand broke and the camera was damaged. Koolehaoda's 64-inch aluminum monoblock for all Canon, Sony and Nikon models met my needs. I have a heavy Nikon D50 zoom SLR and my wife has a small Cannon Power Shot SX260 HS. The threaded camera stand on this product screws securely into the center of the grip and securely fits any of our cameras. He held each of the cameras very well. The rubber foot on the bar was also screwed into the shaft. This allowed me to remove it without tools. I went to the local hardware store and bought 2 screws with matching threads to fit the shaft. Two nylon nuts were also purchased. I used my grinding wheel to sharpen the screw heads to the point. A nylon nut was screwed onto each of the threaded shafts. The nylon in the nut prevents it from moving. If necessary, it was possible to replace the rubber foot with a cleated foot for better grip on the track. The pictures below show the finished products and the picture of the nylon nut. Remember that a camera monopod is not the same as a tripod. Holding the monopod is tricky, but it can help. Both of our cameras support vibration for motion compensation. We used this product for walking sticks rather than holding our cameras. My wife and I will be able to use these poles for many years. I recommend them.
