Review on SlipX Solutions Stop-A-Clog Drain Protectors - Prevent Hair Clogs with 2 Hair Catchers per Package (5 inch Diameter, Clear Plastic) by Abbas Kumar

I've been looking for a drain cap that will catch hair effectively for a long time. This is the ONLY product that works for us. A little background: I took the plug from our hallway bathroom and installed a good hair catcher, but in the main bathroom we have a drain plug that won't come out no matter what. (Of course we could force it, but several fitters told us not to try because it could break the seal under the tub and cause our floor to get wet, and we wouldn't know until the cover was removed below it's not worth it!) Enter this product which is flexible to fit over the drain plug so you don't have to remove it and has suction cups to hold it in the tub (above the bolt that protrudes upwards) and prevents hair from slipping underneath and running down the drain. I've been using this product for a number of years now and the frequency with which I've had to clean my drains has gone from "every few months or ankle deep" to *maybe* once a year just for maintenance. The one I bought from the hardware store has held up very well in daily use for 3-5 years (with occasional cleaning), but eventually got so moldy that I wanted a new one. It still works and could have lasted longer if I was less picky about looks. For something that lasts so long for just a few bucks this is a really good find. If you have a drain plug that you cannot/don't want to remove, buy this. You will not regret it.
