I bought a box of these blacks in 2015 when I was managing my son's youth baseball team. I've only managed to get a few kids to use them, so I have a lot of them. My son has used them with success and I have used them on my slow speed softball bats. Power Pads eliminate the burning sensation of mis-hits. Ours stayed pliable and never broke. My son and I went to commercial batting cages a few times when visiting relatives when we didn't bring our bats. My son always had to stop after a while because the bats in the cage hurt his hands. I just realized (in 2019) that the lack of those power pads on the bat cages was undoubtedly the cause of the painful sting he was feeling. So going forward we will always carry a pair of these Power Pads with us when we can't take our own bits out onto the road for use in commercial batting cages. This is a great invention.
