This is my second cabinet light after 7 years with another brand. Also a second try with mirror lights. Here's what I've learned so far. Surface and direction are crucial. If you stick the lights on a rough surface, the app will not work unless the direction changes. He wants to be tight. I glued light strips to the painted "outside" of the mirror so that in case the glue failed (due to heating) the light would persist. Similarly, under the cabinet, I sanded and painted the entire surface where the light fixtures would be, opting for a 'vertical' orientation rather than horizontal. This makes the direction of the load shear rather than rolling. I also plan to use a "hot glue gun" to add glue nails to prevent further sagging. I leave the light on for a few hours and it's easier to put it on sooner when the glue is new than a few years later when the lanterns run out of stickiness. (an experience).
