, so I will do my best to help you decide. So let me address the volume ratings first. I'm not sure what people expect from these powered speakers that plug into an outlet and get louder than regular USB computer speakers. I think they want them to be loud for the TV and living room. Pretty loud for a computer. You look very good in person. You sound DECENT, now I'll explain properly. They sound like what $20-25 speakers should sound like, maybe even a little better than speakers at this price point. They sound better than cheap Amazon speakers. Here's the sound signature I think they have. They're sealed to sound like typical sealed speakers, they're dense and punchy. They don't have the open, airy sound that many people prefer. They're flat, and since they don't have tweeters, the high end suffers a bit. High frequencies are flat but noisy at the same time. They sound like you would expect high frequencies from a cheap speaker without a tweeter and that is the speaker's weak point in my opinion. That being said, if you want speakers that look good, sound decent, are loud enough for a computer, and get the job done for a low price, they'll pull through easily. But if you want quality sound, stick to bookshelves with a dedicated tweeter. Overall I'll rate them 3.5 out of 5 considering all of that.
