This caster uses 5/16" threaded shafts. This is too small for shelves/tables which most use 5" wheels. If you are not careful the shaft will come loose and bend/break Insert a threaded shaft into brass and wood adapters, apply Loctite to the threads and gently roll anything these wheels are attached to around cracks in the ground, pits or protrusions that could cause the wheel to stop putting the shaft under severe stress, especially if it begins to loosen from the brass insert when turning at work.
