So they are very strong and roll like a dream. But this locking mechanism makes absolutely no sense. It's so stinky, hard to latch and you'll drop the 200lb thing holding it if you try to pull hard enough to unlock it. I had to ask another person to help me and use tools to get it back into the unlocked position. So. it really doesn't make any sense. And the lock feature was a big part of what I bought this for.

This caster uses 5/16" threaded shafts. This is too small for shelves/tables which most use 5" wheels. ORIGINAL REVIEW: (SEE UPDATE BELOW) Love these wheels. I bought two sets for my 6 post workbench. I like that the wheel locks block the rotation of the wheel, but also the rotation of the wheel. I had to remove one of them because the metal tab didn't catch on the teeth preventing it from turning. Sturdy construction and comes with installation keys.
