I use these sockets under a stand that weighs about 175 pounds total. I've spent quite a bit of money on my stereo and trying to save money on isolation equipment isn't a good idea for me. Having a turntable on the top shelf of my rack, alignment and isolation is very important to me. I don't want to worry about the pads tearing. I recommend them if you have the same priorities.
