My use for this item is a little bit "off-label" in that I needed something that could accommodate the larger barrels of my kids' Sonicare toothbrushes. They would often leave them on the back of the sink, which is fine, but the water would drip down the handles overnight and leave a sludgy toothpasty mess.This gives them a place where they can store their toothbrushes upright, allowing them to drain, while also elevating them off of the sink so they can dry on the bottom as well.We keep the toothpaste in the front rack where the sponges would go otherwise. It's an unusual use, for sure, but it's been PERFECT for us.As a bonus, it's also kept my kids from constantly accidentally bumping their toothbrushes into the floor or sink. Because this unit has high walls, even if they get bumped, the toothbrushes stay in place without having to get sanitized all the time.
