I bought 2 of these to put in my cutlery drawer. I did NOT use the extension sections as two of these organizers fit in my drawer with no extra room; But I knew it from the start I have 4 sets of forks, 4 sets of spoons. All of them are divided into 4 sections. I didn't put dividers in 2 compartments; I have 16 knives in just 1 compartment and all the cutlery in another compartment with no divider. I put the straws in the back compartment. Great design. Since I didn't use dividers in 2 compartments, I used these extras in the others (so instead of 2 dividers, I used 3 in each spoon compartment). I easily store 8 spoons or forks in a separate section; If your cutlery is thinner, you could probably make about 12 large ones. I definitely recommend it!
