Works great! I didn't sync it to the garage opener as I'd rather have them work independently. I'm home most of the time and there are dogs at the gate so I use the garage door opener as the door to the house and I don't want the light to come on every time I open and close the garage door. Was surprised it came with a remote control. I have used most 3 button remote controls for 2 garage doors and a gate but I programmed these for a gate, garage door and lamp so I can enter the house with the lights on at night when my phone battery is dead .
