Review on Replacement Electrical 110 250V Straight Electric by Mark Turner

This is an overview of 6 Replacement Electrical Plug Lamp for 10 AMP 110-250V 2 Wire. Part of the description says "This is a flat polarized plug". This is NOT a polarized plug, it may fit an outlet either way. You must be careful when using this plug as it can expose you to 110 or 250 volts if plugged into a wall. (A polarized plug - which is not the case - only allows you to plug it in one way and may prevent you from perhaps abruptly realizing that the chassis is live!). I'm not an electrician by trade, but as an engineer I know that the white wire is different than the black wire (ground and power) and this plug will be no different. Installing a connector on a wire isn't trivial, it's not difficult, but it does require you to strip the wire down to copper. There are no instructions so you must know what you are doing. The first connector I used had one of the screws almost impossible to remove and I couldn't use it. The second connector I tried worked fine, the screws turned easily. The 180 degree swivel ability is good, so you can plug it in and run the cord along the wall (not sticking out of the socket). The plug is big enough to take with you easily.
