Much better than the original. but

I really like the TP-Link brand and this smart socket is no exception. This device allows at least two (2) things (a smart plug and a regular plug or two smart plugs) to be plugged into an outlet at the same time. BUT a smart engineer would put the plug part of the smart plug on the side, top or bottom so that it doesn't stick out of the wall by 2"+, but with the plug by almost 4". This keeps the connector in space when it is behind something. Excellent fork. bad technique.

Smart socket with a great app!

I bought two packs of these smart sockets. They are very easy to set up and connect to your home WiFi via an intuitive app. The app itself is great, it's easy to connect and manage multiple smart sockets, it even allows you to take snapshots from a plug-in powered device and set up on/off schedules, which makes it very handy for lamps or other devices. Devices that you only want to operate at night. The app also includes a widget that can be displayed on the lock screen, which is very useful as

Great switches but BE CAREFUL about SAFETY

I first bought some TP-Link HS200 wall switches to control lights. Removing the previous switches and plugging them in was excruciating. But I was so impressed with their easy setup that the next time I bought HS103/HS105 forks. Now I can control many of my devices via TP-Link Kasa or Alexa app (or manually). But I am AFRAID OF THE SECURITY RISKS of giving my home WiFi username/password to a Chinese company. SOMEONE, um, could break into my router, computers, etc. and steal my banking details…

You get what you pay for at these cheaper stores. THAT is what you want.

I have had several different Smart Switches. Lately I've had 3 different brands with 3 different apps including the IHome app which worked horribly with Alex and kept losing connection, some were using the Smart Life app which almost made me lose my religion trying to use them Keep everyone connected, and a light switch and socket with the Kasa App (TP Link). The only two that worked every time and had a mutually beneficial relationship with Alexa were the ones in the Kasa app. After finally…

Why pay for 1 Revain smart socket when you can buy 2 Kasa sockets?

I have a Revain Smart Plug and these Kasa Smart Plugs from TP-Link work just as well. Once you installed the Kasa app, setup was easy and took less than 2 minutes, including updating the plugins to the latest software. It is very well integrated and easily recognized by Alexa. Once that's done, you can group them however you like. I even create scenes with geofences that turn on my kitchen light when I'm near the house. I was planning to use one of these for my Christmas lights. That way I…

Don't waste your money

I hate to write a bad review but the support for this product is terrible and if something goes wrong forget to return it. I'm talking about 2 packs. You cannot switch the remote control switch away from the set position for use. So I contacted support. I spent hours on the internet and on the phone trying to find a solution. It is impossible. Also, all the information on the Internet that they want to access is not compatible with Apple products, only Windows. So they gave me a return number…

Compact, easy to set up and reliable. Another winner from TP-Link.

I've had good experiences with TP-Link devices in the past, so I had high hopes for these little WiFi jacks and they didn't disappoint. Just plug them in and use the Kasa app to set them up. You can also control them with your voice if you're an Echo user - adding them as new devices is easy via the Alexa app. (They're also compatible with Google Home devices.) 2) They're small and unobtrusive, sticking out about an inch and a half from the outlet. And because they're so compact, you CAN plug…

Wi-Fi connection was missing recently

For a while (a few months) they (KASA connectors) seemed to work fine and one of them can handle up to 11 amps. Recently they (everyone and I have a bunch of KASA connectors) have lost connection to the AT&T fiber optic network router. ALL computers, Revain devices, other Revain controls and ports remain powered on when KASA devices lose communication. At first I thought it might be a router somehow, but I highly doubt AMAZON branded devices will continue to work. What's interesting (but no…
