Review on 3D MAXpider Custom Fit Kagu Floor Mat (TAN) For 2018-2021 Honda Accord - 1ST Row by Dallas Grover

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Cool look, good fit. (2018 Accord TRG)

Contrary to the name, these floor mats were designed (and labeled) specifically for the 2018 Honda Accord. Since the design is pretty much the same between decks on all fairings, it should fit from LX to Touring. (None of the photos show an actual 2018 Accord!) I needed some protection but not "cheap" rubber. So 3D MAXpider caught my attention. It certainly helped in the decision that the price at the time of ordering was $50 below the manufacturer's suggested retail price ($126 for the entire set). Originally I was planning to only use these mats in winter but the surface texture of the Kagu range still looks good for year-round use. The kit comes in five pieces as shown in the picture although the factory picture on this listing does not appear to be entirely accurate. as you can see on the driver's side mat compared to the photos I've attached. The three on the back include the center tunnel cover, which typically doesn't have a floor mat. Overall it fits well and overall looks like it belongs on the car. It doesn't quite follow the contour in a few spots, but I suspect this will iron out over time as the mat lays flat on the floor. Also note that initially I swapped the rear left and right mats (when photographing). They look very similar and the layout corresponds to the simple "2R" and "2L", but not in an obvious way. The underside is covered with an anti-slip layer (similar to Velcro) that keeps the mats in place but also makes them a bit difficult to align properly once installed. Of course, there are eyelets for factory fasteners on the mat on the driver's side. I was impressed by the subtle "carbon fiber” pattern (cross weave). It looks classy enough even for the touring package. The 3D logo is a bit retro to me as the term '3D' isn't exactly new but overall not too distracting.
