they work great! I ordered 3 sets and hung them under the eaves of my house and around my front door, mainly as red, white and green Christmas lights; However, since the wires are very thin and the LEDs are tiny, they practically disappear during the day and when off, so I leave them on all year round (which also saves a lot of hassle each year as you don't have to pick them up and take them down them with a 20 foot extension ladder). I paint them in team colors on nights when my favorite teams' football games are on TV and other holidays like Halloween, Thanksgiving, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day. and election day. The variety of color solutions enables me to choose the right colors for every application. Love the fact that I can set them to turn on and off automatically for 6 hour periods and that everything can be controlled via the remote control of which there are 2. The only negative is that the instructions for the buttons on the remote control could be better and they used black font on a dark gray background on the buttons to customize the functions. The contrast is so poor that I need a flashlight to see what the buttons are doing when trying to use the remote in a dark room or outdoors at night, even with little ambient light in the area. The photo I've attached is unfortunately overexposed, but it gives an idea of what they look like for this use (red and green lights under the eaves in the photo) and that they are bright enough (brightness is adjustable if you want less ). Another thing I wish is that if you set them to blink, fade, jump, etc. you could do it for one color. It looks like these functions only work for changing all colors, but as I said, the instructions are minimal and I may not have figured out how to do it yet. Overall very satisfied and can only recommend it!
