I buy about 5 a year probably mb more I have no idea I feel like I always buy them. but to be honest I have an autistic son so he's partly to blame for the breakdown. mb they need to be made a little stronger so they don't break so easily. I know the original one that came with the TV lasted forever no matter how many times he dropped it, eventually small pieces broke off, I even taped some of the batteries together lol it was a mess. But you know you get what you pay for a real remote, literally like $100 or some crap. I think I will continue to buy them. Try the real thing and compare annual costs to see if I'm actually saving money by buying it. who knows, for people without children i would say car.
