Let me start by saying that I have tested many headphones over the years. I am extremely technical in my IT field and this obsession with technology shows in every other aspect of my life. I'm very picky and while I'm not wealthy, I feel comfortable enough to get the best out of what I truly love. Don't let that fool you, although I'm also very tight on where I can be. In fact, this review is based on my transition from something "cheap" to clearly not even remotely cheap. When it comes to home audio, I've been a Sennheiser fan for years. Over the years I've owned several more expensive Sony headphones and even once owned a pair of Denon studio headphones. When it comes to headphones though, I've honestly never been overly impressed. I found a solution for around $40 that will last about a year and more, and while they didn't have nearly full ear to cover up the quality of the headphones, they didn't make my ears cringe either. I tried many different headphones from the real ones. wireless ones like these (so many) and a few of the same fake wireless/Bluetooth wireless styles like Bose. ALL returned except these and Bose. For a company that first introduced me to their amazing rechargeable batteries this is quite a leap and I will admit I was very hesitant at first but now I am very glad I got my hands on them! I only planned on keeping one, and when Bose impressed me, it admittedly raised the bar for others. But even without that, all other true wireless networks had some limitations that I didn't like. Either the sound is terrible, or the body is terrible, or charging is too frequent or inconvenient. etc. The biggest difference between them, Bose and the cheaper options was that the headphones had to fit "PERFECTLY" to sound good. They just fit perfectly, stay in place, and sound impressive without having to over-manipulate them to get them right. I even had a few touch controls that needed constant tweaking. AGGRAVATING! In this case I choose a physical button instead of a touch button. The sound on them immediately struck me and caught my eye compared to other true wireless models I have. Then I created a custom equalizer through the Soundcore app. game change. I find that I have a fairly high listening range and I feel these headphones are perfect for her. The highs are crisp without being metallic and you really hear the range of the instruments. Throw in some rap/hip-hop and you'll immediately notice that they don't let up on bass. To be honest, more bass and it would make my ear itch. Total revelation, I have a 500+W surround sound system on my computer and grew up with subwoofers in my cars. You sound AMAZING! I'm telling you they sound so good you'll find your poor MP3 quality 100 times worse, even noticing the sounds mastered in the studio. (Amplifier feedback, etc.) Just at a slightly higher volume than the Bose. No kidding, they are that good. The case supports wireless charging, so you don't have to fiddle with an OTHER cable if you wish. To be honest I've had them for a few days now and haven't even had to come close to charging and have been playing with them WAY more than I will ever use headphones on a regular basis. It's almost 10pm, I've been playing nonstop music on it all day. I took a few calls and even left the music on while the buds were off and I ate. (Food and headphones are just weird IMHO) Anyway. Ever since I've had them I've been trying to use their crap, the lowest I've seen is 80% of the headphones and right after that I pop them into a wireless charger which still shows 3/3 bars. WOW. Given their intended use and the likelihood that they're not my sports headphones and Bose Soundsports fill the role, at this rate I'll probably end up fitting a wireless charger to a Qi charger once or twice a month. An unintentional surprise is that I'll be using them more often than I ever thought I would because I've found that about 75% of the earbuds I've touched you can't just walk to an ear without taking steps, to make sure next time it matches properly with both. or blah blah blah. I'm a network engineer by trade, but I don't want to mess with basic functions. They just work, you pull out the right handset, put it on and you can use it to make a call. I didn't have to do anything special so that next time it was normal headphones again. Smart. Noise-cancellation is top-notch at this track. People can hear me very clearly no matter where I am, I let my 14 year old try them out and started telling him all sorts of nonsense to see if he could hear me. Until I was pretty loud and right next to him, he wasn't any the wiser. :) Game performance on them is the same as most aptx devices, good but not great. Definitely better than previous Bluetooth codecs. The built-in YouTube app is MUCH better than watching videos in a browser etc (most likely due to hardware acceleration). I'll run some tests in the develop options and see what I can do. The only downsides I can think of. disappeared as soon as I heard them. This is clearly a premium product. Active noise cancellation would be a nice feature, but personally I don't travel and shouldn't need to listen to it in noisy environments etc. TLDRA, great bass, clear highs with an overall great sound. Alexa/Google Assistant works fantastic! Only downside would be you don't have $150 to buy them yourself or ABSOLUTELY need active noise cancellation which I assume you probably wouldn't buy headphones? Buy them now. Come back later and thank me 😊 Anchor, great job! I get why you guys rock!
