In truth, this is the second (and identical model) power supply I have purchased from this manufacturer. The first device worked perfectly for 3-4 years. However, the original device shorted out when I unplugged it. The resulting spark (at the junction of the cable with the adapter itself) actually burned the back of my hand. A short circuit also disabled the device. I accidentally bought an identical unit because I needed a replacement. The reviews for the product were good and the device was reasonably priced. I realized my mistake after getting a new adapter. Rather than return the adapter I decided to keep it for myself. With less than a month of experience replacing the PSU, it is working satisfactorily so far.
