I use pouches for things like stockings/socks/bras that get tangled in the wash (portable washing machine). So far, so good. I know a lot of the reviews aren't great for the little flower floats, but I can definitely see that they work and help reduce the amount of lint coming out of my portable washing machine's small drain pipe. I also use a lint screen on my drain pipe to keep my drain from clogging. I started with just 2 floats, then added another, and then another (4 total) and they all catch a fair amount of lint in the wash. I recommend emptying them when you drain the water, for example between wash/rinse cycles.
