I work as an optician so I'm very familiar with the different components and process that go into making polarized sunglasses. The pair I ordered was polarized as advertised, but minimally so in comparison to the custom polarized lenses that can be ordered from labs. Regardless, this is a $15 pair of sunglasses so I'm not complaining at all about that.I do want to mention that these are plano - meaning there is no prescription to the lens and yet I found that while wearing them, my vision was slightly distorted. Its probably not from the polarization process but the actual cutting of the lens for the frame. It's really mild, but I still noticed it right away when I slipped on the frame. Not a huge problem, but still should not be happening in a pair of sunglasses. This could possible be just a defect in the manufacturing.Still a really cute frame, fit perfectly and its very comfortable to wear. For the price, it was worth the purchase.
