I read it was best to buy one size up. My 5y old girl is tall for her age, she wears 6-6x and starting to wear size 7 jeans (weights 45-50 lbs). I usually order Size 14 for my girl but I am so very glad I read the notice saying to order a size up. The size 16 fits her perfectly after washing. And she absolutely loves this PJ set. A new favorite. And the designs are really appealing to her. So far, I have ordered her three different designs. She is so happy with these.

These pajamas are great and my kids love them! The glow is incredible it lasts all night (went to check on my kids in the early morning and they were still bright). I did size up usually these kinds of pjs are tight and so that helped for my kids.
