Treadmill Roller Friction Sleeve

My True treadmill front roller is small diameter (1.75") and had a plastic sleeve on it to increase friction for advancing the belt. In time, this sleeve split and bunched up causing an annoying sound when using the treadmill. The fix for this is to remove the remnant plastic sleeve, clean the roller and cover it with a piece of shrink tube. The 2" variety of XHF tube was selected and delivered in one day by Best Buy. A heat gun was sufficient to shrink the tube onto the treadmill roller…

Pros
  • Served purpose
Cons
  • Limited color options

Great package, good quality product

Loosely coiled in a 1 gallon Ziploc bag. Shrink tube is not glued together in a tight unusable coil like others I have ordered. I will buy this again.

Pros
  • Flexible and durable
Cons
  • May not be compatible with all types of solder or welding techniques

5/8 " works for ethernet cable labels

Can confirm 5/8" works for ethernet cable labels. Just about slips over & then it really does have 3:1 ratio. Goes to pretty much exactly 5mm. Used heat gun. Gets all smoky & brown if you use a flame. Pretty thick when done though. About 1/16" thick extra around the cable. I left some over the cable relief part and so I get some extra cable relief from the deal

Pros
  • Dependable and long-lasting performance
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with high pressure applications

Great product for my opinion

The product was just what I wanted. I used it to cover 5/8 chain for a climbing tree stand. Rugged and durable. It was hard to get the chain they but that was due to the sizes being very close before shrinking .

Pros
  • Helps minimize the risk of electrical hazards
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with medical or food grade applications

Very thick: my feedback

Seems like a very good quality shrink. Thicker than most others I have used. Shrank well and glue squeezed out. Time will tell.

Pros
  • Protects cables and wires from abrasion
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use in high-altitude applications

Needs a lot of heat to shrink

Needs a lot of heat to get it to fully sink down to size and to shrink evenly. But once it is down to its shrunken size, the material is very think. So it should be pretty durable.

Pros
  • Worked great for stabilizing a metal carport frame
Cons
  • May not be compatible with certain connectors or terminals

Seals tight. good for me

This has something akin to hot glue coating the inside, so when it's heated enough to shrink, that coats everything and seals it completely. It says it shrinks 3:1 and I'd say that's about right without measuring, and it's thicker when shrunk than I expected. Since it went on an outdoor cord, the thickness and good seal are both desirable. Won't know how well it holds up until it's been outside a while, but the initial results are certainly promising.

Pros
  • Bought the wrong size waiting on correct sizewill rate at that time
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with high temperature wires

multi use non slip tape

Wanted a material that was non slip to use in the bottom of my canoe. When heated it shrunk evenly and smoothly. This allows me to stand up when landing that big bass.

Pros
  • When heated it shrunk evenly and smoothly
Cons
  • May not be as flexible as other options

10 out of 10 will stock my shop with this!

By far the best heat shrink I've ever used for automotive applications. It shrinks down and seals on a small 18ga wire and can fit around a larger 10 gauge with no problem. Fits well with red, blue, and yellow crimp connectors. As the description reads, definitely keeping a stock of this stuff in my shop!

Pros
  • Wide temperature range for varied usage
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use in fire safety applications

Used for garen hose repair

Use to cover the ear clamps on a garden hose repair. Fits over the female hose ends and shrinks down nicely. May not provide adequate protection against water ingress.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • May not provide adequate protection against water ingress

Quality shrink tube

The tube has glue inside so it sits great on the cables. It shrinks very even and is all over a good quality shrink tube. Specially for this price.

Pros
  • Adhesive-lined interior ensures maximum sealing capabilities
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with high frequency applications

Perfect for my purpose.

Needed some kind of solution to repair the handle of a fishing rod I'd been meaning to fix. Did the trick with this heat shrink tubing. Great product.

Pros
  • Works like it should
Cons
  • Can be difficult to cut to size

Great Product - my new review

Very good product. I have it in two sizes and between the two, they cover most needs. It seals very quickly and evenly. It is a good feature that it comes in a roll so you can cut the length needed. Very good heat shrink.

Pros
  • Product seems to be what I need. I haven't used it yet
Cons
  • Heat required for application may pose a safety hazard

Rugged Shrink tubing fairly thick and strong!

I used this to cover a sticky hand held apparatus. But it shrunk enough for what I needed.. I Florida some rubberlike coated parts become very sticky!

Pros
  • heat shrink for bundled cables, worked good
Cons
  • But it shrunk enough for what I needed.

It shrinks down nice & small

I bought this large shrink wrap to bridge the connection between a 20 amp to 30 amp converter that's not rated for outdoors. I cut it so that it was a bit longer than necessary hoping that it would shrink down small enough to get the melted glue onto the shank of the connecting cord for a better water proof seal. It did so wonderfully. While it's only been a month or so, I've had no problems with my marina electrical connection so far, and don't expect to. It took a little while with the heat…

Pros
  • Exactly what I needed, performed perfectly!
Cons
  • May not fit snugly around irregularly shaped objects
