I tested it with just a 100w cable and power adapter and it worked fine for 5 minutes. It gets very hot and works as advertised but only for the first 5 minutes. I think it is better to write this review than to test and verify other claims.

Got this to use and charge my laptop with a 24v system. Although it can output a full 100W to the USB-C port, it can't do so for long. I get about 5-10 minutes before it overheats and shuts down. It also gets so hot that the shell starts to soften. This may be ok for light loads, but not suitable for a laptop. Since the whole reason I got this was because it's 100w and I can't use it, I wouldn't recommend it.

This product does not appear to have sufficient heat dissipation capacity to provide 100W of continuous power. Used my laptop (Dell XPS 17) connected to it for about two hours.
