It's also very light weight so it easy to carry

I have used this for every thing but it's intended purpose yet. The strap is cheep and broke frist time I used it but para cord fixed that. I have used it as an hammer to drive nails and the spade to dig out some geodes for my daughter. And I haven't broken it yet so it will work extremely well for camping. It's also very light weight so it easy to carry.

Pros
  • Nicely made I'll give a work out this summer for camping
Cons
  • May not be worth the added weight to pack

Good tent stake hammer, but it could be better

For pulling out stakes, this hammer is excellent! The claw works great for prying them loose and the hook end is great for pulling. The hammer side, however, leaves something to be desired. First of all, the hammer face is slick and slides off the stake, leading to a lot of glancing blows. As far as camping tent stake hammers go, this is better than most. It’s a tad light for driving in larger stakes, but should be fine with lightweight aluminum stakes. I mostly vehicle camp, so I’ve resorted…

Pros
  • DIGGING TOOL - The hammer head with electroplated coating features a 40mm rear spade for focused digging.
Cons
  • May not be safe for children to use

Perfect tool. best in my review

We are in our late 50's' and 60's in age and recently got back into backpacking. For years we have been camping out of our truck in drive up sites and a hatchet has worked fine, but that is too heavy of an option for backpacking. I purchased this product and it is a great lightweight option that is very portable and functional for tent camping on the trail in our area.

Pros
  • Good little hammer, but too light weight for real dry hard dirt
Cons
  • May dent or scratch easily

Drives stakes into the ground. Takes them out.

This little hammer is perfect for camping. It’s lightweight, but strong, and the hook on the end is perfect for pulling out stakes. The strap can get in the way, but I can see why it’s useful for backpackers.

Pros
  • how slick the handle is need to add something to handle
Cons
  • Tent stake remover may not work well on all stakes

Very Sturdy Hammer: my feedback

Very very sturdy. Better than I expected.A little heavier than I would for hiking up the mountain, but with how sturdy it is I can overlook it.It come with a wrist strap that wasn’t shown in the photo when I purchased it. Unnecessary in my opinion but doesn’t get in the way like another review I read

Pros
  • Multipurpose functionality saves valuable space in your backpack
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use in extreme weather conditions

Light weight, but strong

Used it camping this week. Great pounding stakes in, and even greater pulling them out when it's time to pack up. That's my feedback.

Pros
  • sturdy, good quality, lightweight, good value
Cons
  • May be difficult to use with gloves on

So far, so good! for my opinion

This hammer is pretty awesome considering how light it is. I've used it multiple times now either hammering down stakes in super hard, packed dirt as well as pulling them out. Other than the expected scuffs on the head and handle, it's been performing very well for me. I guess time will tell just how long I'll use it, but for now I would definitely recommend this product.

Pros
  • This light hammer packs a punch. Hammered my canopy stakes in easily.
Cons
  • Not very durable

Love this tool in my review

Best feature is the hook to pull up heavy duty stakes. Something else to consider if you "rough it” like we do tent camping. You have a small pick axe end to dig a hole when nature calls eliminating the need for another tool such as a shovel

Pros
  • Ergonomic grip prevents accidental slips and provides comfortable use
Cons
  • May not be easy to hold for those with arthritis or hand injuries

New Improved Rock - my new review

I've been motorcycle tent camping for years now so I'm limited in space and weight. By this, I mean that I would always have to find an rock or limb that would suffice to drive tent stakes which, depending on where you are camping, can be difficult. I cannot speak to the long term durability of this hammer but it seems to be well constructed. It came with a cheap lanyard that I removed. For the hammer's purpose of driving/pulling tent stakes and digging a hole or rain trench, in my opinion…

Pros
  • great tool for setting up camp/tents and pounding all size stakes in and removing them
Cons
  • May not be rust-resistant

simple but effective

One of those items that is not indispensable, but makes life sweeter. I don't know who figured out that everyone should have a smaller version of a climbing axe, but they must have known their market. This model was well made and has worked well for me.

Pros
  • Pretty heavy... seems well built. I'll take a whack on some tent stakes... or maybe some steaks... ;)
Cons
  • Extra weight to pack for lightweight camping trips

Perfect all around on my review.

Absolutely awesome hammer, I was concerned when seeing people say it was too light to do the job but used it in Ga and it was absolutely perfect

Pros
  • Lightweight, sturdy and easily pulls tent stakes out with hook
Cons
  • Limited use as a hammer

Well worth the money

Well worth the money. At first I thought it was a joke when I picked it up and held it as it is really light boy was I wrong. It is really well made and strong for a hammer meant for putting in tent stakes. It is no sledgehammer by no means but has the strength to pound in and remove stakes with ease. Love the digging tool as it can be used to remove small lumps or rocks before you put your tent up.

Pros
  • Works great!
Cons
  • May not have enough leverage for difficult tent setup

Light but sturdy good for me

Light but effective. Perfect for camping trips where weight is a concern (I use mine on kayak camping outings). Well constructed.

Pros
  • I used it once and it worked great. The hook worked great with my stakes
Cons
  • May not be worth the price

Great compact hammer for tent camping

We used this little guy all summer. Love that it's compact so you can include in tent bag. Works like a charm and the hook removal on end is super handy.

Pros
  • Rust-resistant material stands up to harsh outdoor elements
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those with limited hand strength

Camping hammer for my opinion

I bought this hammer to use when I go camping. This hammer is light weight and very useful for camping. The hammer part of this tool does it’s job and it has a hook to help remove the stakes from the ground.

Pros
  • We used this for several tents over a 3 week camping trip and it is doing great.
Cons
  • May be too loud when hammering stakes

Awesome! Lightweight! Strong!

This camping hammer is amazing! You can hammer stakes in and pull them out. There is a sharp, flat edge on the back good for digging stakes out. Lightweight design is perfect for adding to your camping supplies!

Pros
  • Comes with a convenient carrying case for easy storage and transportation
Cons
  • May not be compatible with all types of camping stakes

Way to lite for useful tent stakes.

If you're pounding into sand, this is great. If your pounding into REAL dirt this isn't the hammer for you. I used it on one trip and then quickly put my old hammer back into the camping crate. It was simply too lite to be useful.

Pros
  • Lightweight design makes it easy to carry on outdoor adventures
Cons
  • May not be balanced for comfortable use

Super Light-Weight Tent Tool

I bought this hammer specifically to keep with my tent, to pound stakes and remove them. Here in Texas, many of the places we camp have hard ground and you really need a hammer to pound your tent stakes into the ground. This hammer is very useful for that, while not being heavy or taking up a lot of room in the tent bag. The hook on the bottom makes pulling stakes up easy.

Pros
  • Light tool, easy to use..
Cons
  • Handle may be too short for comfortable grip
