Battery charge error at the end of a charging cycle for a Yaesu portable radio

As I had not replaced the original batteries for my Yaesu VX-5 and VX-7 portable radios, I thought these batteries would be good replacements. Well, disappointment. The batteries are extremely tight fits inside the radios. It was quite difficult to the the battery into the VX-7. Installing into the VX-5 was less difficult, but still harder than it should be. During the charge cycle for the VX-7, using the Yaesu charger, the radio displayed a 'Charge Error'. Unplugged the charger and…

Great replacement battery.

Needed a replacement for my Yaesu VX 5R HT. the original one, over 10 years old, finally would not hold a charge. Really like Lithium Ion batteries and use them in everything I can. Especially when converting from the old heavy NiMh that seem to have leak down issues even when not attached to the radio. I'll take a NiCd only when there is nothing else which, fortunately, is not a problem these days. This battery fits nicely and works well. The supplier shipped fast and seems easy to work with…

Almost perfect in my review

Product is as described definitely cheaper than actual Yaesu battery . One small problem I have noticed , really have to press down hard on latch side of battery to get it down far enough to secure latch .
