Very High Quality (out of box)

These seem to be VERY high quality socks. I usually buy darn tough, point 6, and smartwool socks. I have some of Meriwool's shirts and love them so I decided to try the socks. Out of the box these may be some of the highest quality socks Ive owned. I have not put them through any tests other than unpacking, putting them on my feet, and going to work. Time, some washings, and some hikes are really the crucible that these have not yet seen. So far I am very impressed.

Pros
  • Good quality and good fit
Cons
  • I’m female and wear a size 9 shoe. They are really big on me. They are also very itchy.

Warm, wicking and MIC

So far so good. High wool content at 64%. Ran a few times with these and while very warm, my feel were fairly dry due to the wool wicking. Dinged a star for Made In China, we'll see how well they hold up over time

Pros
  • stays put, comfortable, wicks moisture-great sock
Cons
  • Only worn these a couple of times and there are already holes on the top.

They don't cramp my toes like some of the other brands.

Very comfortable and had nice support around my arch. I'm not a runner but I am on my feet a lot. I am 74. I had no problems with them being too hot. Somedays I wear compressin socks and put these on over the compression socks. Feels like I'm having an all day foot massage!

Pros
  • Great socks. Wish they had a. It more vision but they did the job
Cons
  • May not be as breathable as other sock options

Cons

Fantastic low cut wool socks

Used these in Yosemite for two weeks. Just awesome. Only issue was dust/dirt getting inside sock due to low cut, but I knew that going in to the trip. I have traditional smartwool socks for those occasions.

Pros
  • WICKING & ODOR RESISTANCE: Merino wool’s natural wicking and odor-resistant properties keep you dry and comfortable while active in cold weather. Through the process of wicking, Merino wool is the most breathable fabric and absorbs moisture better than any other fibers. Wicking refers to a fabric’s ability to pull moisture away from your body and keep you comfortable.
Cons
  • May be too hot for use during the summer months

Good socks: no sweat, snug fit and kept my feet warm or cool

I loved these socks and used them on my trip to Chicago recently. It definitely kept my feet comfortable, warm or cool. No sweaty feet and the sock went up past my heel a little bit. That helped as I tend to get blisters and kept my heel protected. It was also snug but not so tight that no circulation. I would buy it again.

Pros
  • These socks are comfortable and don't ride down. I've ordered a second package. Worth the price!
Cons
  • May not be as easy to find in stores compared to other sock options

Got holes in the heels after about 10 wears

I'm used to how Darn Tough socks wear and was expecting something similar from other merino wool socks. I've worn these Meriwool socks 10 times, max, and couldn't believe that there were nickel sized holes in both socks after wearning them for a 5k run. Shocking bad quality for a mid-priced sock.

Pros
  • The antimicrobial properties of Merino wool naturally fight off bacteria and odor-causing microbes, keeping your feet smelling fresh all day long
Cons
  • May not be as flexible as other sock options on the market

Perfect hiking socks

The socks are quality, comfortable (after a wash - make sure to read the instructions) and sized perfectly. They were perfect in my low-profile hiking shoes. Highly recommend. They were more expensive than the other pairs I purchased for the trip, but also my favorites during a recent hiking trip.

Pros
  • CUSHIONED SOLE & FLAT KNIT TOES: These athletic socks have a thick cushioned sole for shock absorption that helps reduce the impact on your body when you run, walk, or hike. Now you can run marathons or hike for miles without adding stress to your joints! Our Low Cut No-Show Socks feature a flat knit toe closure to reduce chafe and blisters, making them ideal for intense training, hiking, and other high-intensity sports activities.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for individuals with toenail fungus

Keeps your feet warm.

These socks are great! I bought them to wear with my ski-boots because I have wide calf’s and having any extra padding around my calf makes the boots really hurt. They kept my feet really warm while skiing all night and stayed up. Just a warning, out of the package they looked huge(like I thought I would have to send back) but they fit fine and after 1 wash they shrunk down a little and are now perfect.

Pros
  • Fit perfect and very comfortable
Cons
  • Not suitable for individuals with sensitive skin

Favorite pair of sock without a doubt

These socks are fantastic. I've been looking to try out some wool socks for a long time now but have found myself just buying the cheap bulk packs at Ross or TJ Maxx. Finally decided to spend a $8.50 a pair instead of $10 bucks for 5 or 6 packs. I'm not disappointed. They're super comfortable and my feet are much dryer on a day to day basis. Not only that, but If I don't wear them a full day or feel as though I sweat a ton that day, I have no problem putting them on again without washing them…

Pros
  • Good price and comfortable shock
Cons
  • Can be quite expensive compared to other sock options

Comfortable socks that DONT last

I loved the feel, fit and comfort of these socks. Merino would is always a big sell for me. I own plenty of Darn Tough Socks and wanted to try some other brands. These socks don’t make the cut as far as durability goes. I bought maybe 6 pairs and half of them have gotten holes and just continued to get worse. I hiked a 14’er and when I got back down and took my shoes off, my entire heel was exposed. Great idea and initial comfort but they don’t last. Would not buy again. Darn Tough hasn’t let…

Pros
  • September 16, 2019
Cons
  • May not be ideal for individuals who prefer to wear socks without shoes

Good socks at first

I loved these socks until about 2 months into wearing them and I discovered a hole in the heel of one sock. 3 months into wearing them, both pairs I purchased have holes in all heels. Would love to take advantage of that 3 month Meriwool Satisfaction Guarantee.

Pros
  • Mens
Cons
  • May not be as comfortable for people who prefer socks with a seamless toe

Very comfortable: my feedback

Very comfortable, kept my feet dry during an incredible rainy stretch of weather. 4 stars for now as I’m reading reports that they may not be durable over the long term, we’ll see! There is an understandable trade off between soft and comfortable and durable over the longer term. So far, so good

Pros
  • B07XYHR361
Cons
  • May not be as stretchy as other sock options on the market

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Comfortable socks however.

So far I have had a single sock form two holes after wearing once and washing following what is "proper care for these socks/wool”.I’ll likely look to a different brand next time.

Pros
  • Superior Comfort
Cons
  • The socks may lose their shape after a few wears

Not the best good for me

They are nice and heavy. But they pill up on the heal. I have to keep picking off the clomps as they rub my heal. I will not reorder

Pros
  • High quality, comfortable, and fit well for my size 13 feet.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for people who wear shoes that rub against the ankles
