The exterior of this box looks to be made of plastic which has a cheaper feel and look than the leather ring box my jeweler included. In the dark it looks great and did the job. We now use the one that came from the jeweler for everyday use. This was by far the best value for what I needed.

Got this box for some ear rings I bought my wife. She was pleasantly surprised when she saw the box and then even moreso when she opened it. The light is bright and adds a higher level to the gift. Sturdy, beautiful ring boxes! Great value for two boxes and fast 2-day shipping. The material is velvet like so be sure to keep clean because it attracts fuzz, animal fur (I.e. cat/dog hair) but a quick run with a sticky roller will clean them right up. I used my ring boxes to put earrings in for a gift, so they are versatile with what type of jewelry can hold in them ( rings/earrings).
