You need a screwdriver. Also "steel bolts and aluminum inserts" in the description, but the material that makes up the spool is like hard plastic or something, very light. Overall, I would buy again.

Very accurate fit for 17/18 Ninja 650. Right side installed correctly. The left side is so close it's impossible to tell if it fits properly on the swingarm or bolt hole. I just said screw it on and fix the suction. If you want to be on the safe side, a small thin washer on the left swingarm might be a good idea. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because when I received the package it didn't have any instructions, I had to go online through my phone to order to find them. Also, nowhere in the product description or instructions did it state that I needed a 5/16 Crescent/Hex driver. I didn't have one and had to run to the hardware store to get one. Once I had everything it was easy to install. Took no more than 15 minutes and they look great. I hope they protect the bike as intended.
