Description of 2x3WT class D stereo audio amplifier module GF1002 PAM8403 chip with DC 2.5-5V volume control

Class D stereo audio amplifier module, based on PAM8403 chip, 3+3W power with 2.5 - 5V power supply, which is used in most miniature low-voltage power amplifier solutions - portable speakers, MP3 players, MP4 players, etc. . It uses a miniature power amplifier, which, in combination with low-voltage power, is well suited to create an MP3 (or MP4) player or portable speakers. PAM8403 weighs less than 3 grams and your design can be very compact. To power the amplifier, you can use a unipolar DC power supply 2.5 - 6.4 V. Characteristics: Model: GF1002; Chip: PAM8403; Class: D; Amplifier conversion frequency: 350 kHz (this allows not to use inductance in the circuit - they are replaced by the speaker inductance, minimizing the dimensions and weight of the stereo amplifier); Number of channels: 2; Efficiency: more than 90% (does not require cooling radiators); Operating voltage: 2.5-5V; Power per channel: 3W; Dimensions: 29.5 * 20.2 * 15 mm; Connection: Input: L - input left, G - case, R - right input. Power + power supply + (2.5 ... 5v). Power - power supply - (case). rout (+) and (-) output to the right speaker, lout (+) and (-) output to the left speaker. A really necessary purchase, Im glad I found this product.

Assembled, works, satisfied. I use with self-made 4 ohm speakers with car full-range speakers in 8 inches. I do not like separate acoustics, because of dips at some frequencies due to phase shift. Bass is tight, precise, high-definition jazz goes well. I love chamber and organ music, in the first case, separate basses by channels play an important role (because of this, I don’t use the complete 2.1 acoustics with a subwoofer, the sound image is lost), in the second case, you need a very serious

Pros
  • Doesn't overheat, works reliably on a five-volt USB charger for a cell phone, which are sold with a built-in voltage regulator, even with mediocre quality in the budget price category, and therefore there is practically no noise. The volume is more than enough for a Hong Kong apartment. "Steps" are not audible, a pair of preamplifier - ADC matched perfectly. It does not heat up, it is reliable, there are no "drying" oxide electrolytic capacitors in the circuit.
Cons
  • It would be possible to solder the connectors directly on the board, I had to work with a soldering iron and invent something like a case. But these are the requests of a lazy perfectionist.

Great product, best quality.

Used in a homemade speaker with an old 8 ohm speaker. I took power from a USB computer, soldered it, connected the speaker to a PC, everything works. Noise at high amplification is quite normal. If you want to "clean up" the sound, think about filtering. Enough for my task, I was satisfied with the amplifier. Nuance. On the board, the input contact of the right channel is for some reason marked with the letter B, and not the letter R, be careful.

Pros
  • Small size, the ability to fine-tune the gain, complete with a nut and washer for mounting the amplifier board
Cons
  • At high gain, it can produce quite a loud noise.
