good product. on tape

I got this with a big discount in the Amazon cart. It was listed as damaged, but I didn't see any damage on any of the reels. It was discounted by about 75%. It is an extra wide 3 meter band from the brand. 3M always does good.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Update availability

Check the roll size

I did not check the roll size before purchasing. Upon arrival I noticed that the spool of tape in the plastic case looked small. These reels are 44 feet long, not the 66 feet I'm used to. It's nobody's fault but me; The tape is still of excellent quality. I just didn't check before buying.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Non-automatic

Doesn't even stick to itself

I bought this expensive item because I needed a good quality tape that would stick well. I wrapped the connection and made sure it was clean and dry. It was a warm sunny day. The tape didn't even stick to itself and immediately began to unravel. Buy another brand, this one is terrible.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Requires base

Expensive but the best insulating tape

Heat and frost resistant for use under the hood. Never had a problem. Stay in place. Doesn't shrink. Thicker than most other quality tapes. Not even comparable to a regular band from a dollar store or anywhere else. Unless you have a rodent problem under the hood this is the best you can buy at any price (for rodent protection try the Honda 4019-2317). 3M Super 33+ is also good but costs more.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Nothing fancy for a wire harness sleeve

Ordered this for a wire harness sleeve for my old Jeep. I wasn't impressed with how it happened. Very hard and difficult to work with. And it doesn't seem to have held up very well. That was 13 months ago. I recently had to remove some of them. The ends are badly glued, but the rest is very well glued. I had to remove another wrap I made with cheap electrical tape. It was almost the same, the ends were unpicked and the rest was glued well. I have no doubt that this tape has excellent electrical

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

When Super 33+ isn't thick enough

Super 33+ gets me most of the time, but sometimes I need a little thicker tape and this is where Super 88 comes in handy for both electrical and other uses. We have patio furniture with wooden handles which unfortunately is shared. I used some glue and this tape to wrap around the wooden levers that were sitting on the metal frame. I used this tape to wrap the repair and it's holding up well. The split happened a few years ago and the record still holds. Our weather can drop to around 4 over 0…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Repair
